OFFER OF DARMASISWA RI SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
ACADEMIC YEAR 2009/2010

Darmasiswa RI program is a scholarship program offered by the Indonesian government to foreign students from countries which have diplomatic relationship with Indonesia to study Bahasa Indonesia, traditional music, traditional dance, and Indonesian craft. The candidate is allowed to decide the higher institutions (universities) which carry out
the program. This program aims to promote Indonesian culture and the language. Desiring to expand and intensify mutually beneficial cooperation to the countries Which offer scholarship to Indonesian students. Moreover, it is also used as a media of cultural diplomacy. LANGUAGE STUDIES AND WORK OPPORTUNITIES IN INDONESIA
 

The Southeast Asia Centre of the Australian National University welcomes people in business community, government offices, NGOs, professionals, postgraduate as well undergraduate students, students from other universities, international students to take part in its in-country programs in Indonesia in two sets of option: intensive language instruction and work experience. Those participating in our newly expanded internship study course can choose to have a work experience in one of ten institutions with very different areas of interest: journalism, media watch, legal aid, relief and development, grass root civil rights education, health and environment, performing arts, and education.

The Centre's In-Country program has a https://alliance.anu.edu.au/web/incountry_indonesia/public/index.htm as a venue for exchange of news, personal stories, and images among people (students and non-students alike) who have even the slightest interest in doing such courses in the future, or those who have had been involved for years with our in-country program. IN-COUNTRY INDONESIAN COURSES
 

The ANU College of Asia and the Pacific offers both intensive in-country Indonesian Language and internship study options in Salatiga, central Java, Indonesia. Theses courses are open to undergraduate and postgraduate students from The Australian National University (ANU) and other Australian universities, international scholars, high school students, professionals from the private and non-government sector, government employees and anyone else with an interest in language and culture of Indonesia.
