FESTIVAL INDONESIA 2007

  Festival Indonesia was held on 9-11 November 2007 with the theme of Growing Together for a Better Future. This event was the result of the collaboration between the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Melbourne, the Investment Coordinating Board of Indonesia (BKPM), and the Indonesian society in Melbourne, all of whom are united in Festival Indonesia Inc. Supported by Victorian Multicultural Commission and City of Melbourne, the event took place at the Waterfront City, Docklands. This year is the third consecutive year of Festival Indonesia after its success in 2005 and 2006.
   
    

WORKING LUNCHEON

  .... In his speech, the Indonesian Consul General emphasised that the teaching of Bahasa Indonesia in every school in Victoria will tighten the relationship of both countries.
   
    

FUN WALK 2007

  Fun Walk was aimed at strengthening the people to people friendship of Indonesia and Australia. It was attended by around 500 people from the Indonesian community, and friends of Indonesia in Melbourne
   
    

GAMELAN IN THE GALLERY 2007

  On 23 November 2007, taking place at the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV), Gamelan in the Gallery was held in cooperation between the Indonesian Consulate General in Melbourne and the Australia Indonesia Association (AIA). This annual event was held for the third time and attended by around 500 people, including the Melbourne Lord Mayor, John So, and the Indonesian Consul General in Melbourne, Mr. Budiarman Bahar.
